Connection Captain
This book reminded me of several different movies, books, and people. In this book, the characters all fight for what they believe in. I remembered various people as I read about each character fighting for their beliefs. One person that really reminds me of this story is Malala Yousafzai. She is an ordinary girl from Pakistan who refused threats of the Taliban in order to campaign for the rights of education. In addition, she survived a shot in the head by the Taliban and became known worldwide as an advocate for human rights. I read about her last year and I really liked it. This book reminded me of her story. This novel also reminded me of Oprah Winfrey and Steve Jobs. Oprah is a talk show host who is also important for women in America. She encouraged belief in self-improvement toward many people. Steve Jobs was the founder of Apple. He helped technology advance and went through many difficulties throughout this process. It wasn't easy for him to accomplish this. Clearly, these people all fought for their beliefs just like the characters in this novel.
This book also reminded me of a movie called Heaven is For Real. This movie is about a little boy who almost died and visited Heaven. His survival was a miracle and after his visit, he knew incredible things that were impossible for him to have known. His parents then tried to get reporters and people to believe in this story; however, people either didn't believe them or thought they were crazy. They had to go after what they believed in.
In conclusion, this book reminded me of several different people and movies because of the characters. The people in this book and the people who I could relate this novel to both go after their beliefs to achieve what they want.
