It does tie in with the war because when the revolution took place Iraq felt that the revolution would affect their country. This then started a war that was from 1980-1988. Approximately half a million people were killed and nothing was resolved. Both sides lost economically and people wise. Lots of the story show the bombings that shook the country and the mass destruction.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4896588589550157740.post-29401286826315673102014-11-17T06:14:23.981-08:002014-11-17T06:14:23.981-08:00Marina,

I don't feel that it completely describes the book as it still needs a little bit of a push from your imagination. Although, your ideas did make scene to me, how war was a difficult time. How the book reflects war and misery from a child's prospective. Thank you for boosting my thinking.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4896588589550157740.post-42555852766599690052014-11-17T02:22:48.991-08:002014-11-17T02:22:48.991-08:00Marina,
The lines you chose are really interestin...Marina,
The lines you chose are really interesting and very deeply written too. I think that this revolution was like any other war, with no winners nor losers. Everyone suffered one way or another. Don´t you think that Persepolis is similar to Maus in several ways? I´m not only talking about both of them are graphic novels, but they are both about tragedies. And don´t you think that we should read the second volume? I think persepolis including your insightful lines, is a life lesson. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
